Research Use Only Policy

Last updated Jun 25, 2026

Draft template — to be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before reliance.
This page is a non-final working draft prepared for internal review only. It is not legal advice, has not been verified against the laws of any jurisdiction, and must be reviewed and approved by qualified counsel before publication or reliance.

This Research Use Only (RUO) Policy explains how RUO Report (operated by [Company Entity], “RUO Report,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) describes the scope, purpose, and limits of the content we publish at https://ruoreport.com. By accessing the site, you acknowledge the boundaries described below. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Affiliate Disclosure.

What “Research Use Only” Means at RUO Report

“Research Use Only” (RUO) is a designation indicating that a subject, compound, or material is discussed solely in the context of laboratory and scientific research. As used by this publication, RUO describes our editorial posture: we cover peptides and related research compounds strictly as subjects of scientific study and literature review. Our use of the term is descriptive of our coverage, not a regulatory clearance, certification, or endorsement of any product, vendor, or application.

Materials referred to as “research use only” are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices, and are not approved or intended for human or veterinary diagnosis, treatment, cure, prevention, or mitigation of any condition. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting that any compound is safe, effective, lawful, or appropriate for use in or on humans or animals.

Our Role: An Independent Publication, Not a Seller

RUO Report is an independent research and review publication. We are an editorial and educational resource. We are not a manufacturer, distributor, pharmacy, compounding facility, or seller of any compound or product, and we do not take orders, hold inventory, or fulfill shipments. Where we link to third parties, we do so as a publisher; any transaction occurs solely between you and that third party under their terms.

Content Boundaries

Our content is limited to research-oriented, educational, and journalistic material, which may include:

  • summaries and discussion of published scientific literature;
  • profiles describing a compound’s identity, classification, and reported research context;
  • reviews assessing vendors on factors such as transparency, documentation, sourcing claims, and customer experience; and
  • glossary entries and explanatory background for general scientific literacy.

The following are expressly outside the scope of our content. We do not publish, and you should not infer:

  • protocols, dosing, administration routes, cycling, stacking, or preparation instructions;
  • guidance on acquiring, possessing, or using any compound in humans or animals;
  • medical, clinical, diagnostic, veterinary, legal, or financial advice; or
  • any representation that a compound is fit for a particular purpose.

No Usage, Dosing, or Medical Guidance

RUO Report does not provide usage guidance of any kind. We do not tell readers how, whether, when, or in what amount to use any compound, and we do not endorse human or animal use. Content here is informational only and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed physician, veterinarian, pharmacist, or other qualified professional. Always consult an appropriately licensed professional before making any decision relating to health or any regulated material.

Content Is Not a Safety or Effectiveness Claim

Statements on this site describing research, reported findings, or vendor characteristics are not claims that any compound is safe, effective, pure, potent, or suitable for any purpose. References to studies describe what researchers reported under specific laboratory conditions; they do not establish a result, predict outcomes, or imply that any effect would occur outside of those conditions. Any product comparisons or vendor ratings reflect editorial assessment of disclosure and experience factors, not verification of product safety, identity, or quality.

Citations and Evidence Limitations

We strive to cite primary sources and to characterize findings accurately, but our citations carry inherent limitations:

  • science evolves, and cited literature may be superseded, retracted, contested, or refined over time;
  • individual studies vary widely in design, sample size, funding, and reproducibility, and a single citation is not proof of a general conclusion;
  • summaries necessarily simplify, and readers should consult the full primary source before drawing conclusions; and
  • we do not independently replicate experiments or verify the underlying data.

Citations are provided to support transparency and further reading, not to assert that any described effect is established, generalizable, or applicable outside the cited research setting.

Preclinical Emphasis

Much of the research we discuss is preclinical — conducted in cell cultures (in vitro), in animal models (in vivo), or through computational methods — rather than in controlled human clinical trials. Preclinical findings are early-stage and frequently do not translate to humans. The absence of human clinical evidence, or the existence of only limited or preliminary data, is a significant limitation that readers should weigh heavily. Coverage of a preclinical topic is never an indication that a compound is ready for, or appropriate for, any non-research application.

Affiliate Relationships and Commercial Disclosure

RUO Report is monetized in part through affiliate relationships. We may earn a commission when readers use certain outbound links, and some links are redirected through our own tracking paths. These relationships do not change our editorial boundaries: affiliate compensation does not constitute an endorsement, does not influence our refusal to provide usage guidance, and does not alter the limitations described in this Policy. Material commercial relationships are disclosed in our Affiliate Disclosure, and affiliate links are intended to be identified where they appear.

Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for how you use information found on this site and for complying with all laws and regulations applicable to you in your jurisdiction. Laws governing research compounds vary and change. RUO Report makes no representation that any compound discussed is lawful to obtain or possess where you are located.

Changes, Governing Terms, and Contact

We may update this Policy from time to time; the version posted at the time of your visit governs your use. Except where superseded by our Terms of Use, this Policy is governed by the laws of [Governing State], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Questions about this Policy may be directed to [contact email].
